Brief Background:
The Ethiopian Catholic Social and Development Commission Education Department as an Office was opened in 1964 according to the Ethiopian Calendar. This year was also the time that the Ethiopian Catholic Bishops’ Conference was established.
The Department’s Responsibility
The Education Department at the national office currently coordinates, facilitates, and represents 402 Catholic Church Educational Institutes throughout the Country. Moreover, provides capacity building training opportunities to these educational institutions.
